All the ingredients you love, in a sandwich.
1 Lb. Ground beef
1 egg
1 C. breadcrumbs
1/2 yellow onion, chopped
8 Strips bacon, cooked, and chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
1 Tbsp. Chipotle seasoning
1 tsp. Salt
4 Hoagie rolls
1-1/2 C BBQ sauce
3 Tbsp Whiskey
1 /2 C. water
Provolone or Pepper Jack cheese
French fried onions (optional)
Combine all ingredients, up to the rolls, in a large bowl and use your hands to combine. Shape into meatballs, about 1 inch around. In the same pan you cooked the bacon (grease reserved), brown all sides of meatballs.
Add BBQ Sauce, Bourbon, and water. Cover and simmer over medium heat for about 15 to 20 minutes, until meatballs are done.
Butter your buns and broil to a nice crispness, a couple minutes. Add meatballs and top with cheese and french fried onions (if using). Broil until cheese is melted. Top with additional sauce if desired, serve immediately. bbms1
