Blueberry Pecan Oatmeal

Tired of the sugary oatmeal you buy at the grocery store? This recipe is great for people who want to eat healthier at work in the mornings. Just combine all the dry ingredients in a container the evening before work and add in the desired liquid level when you get to work, pop in the microwave and you have a big satisfying bowl of oatmeal you don't have to feel guilty about. The blueberries pop open while cooking in the microwave and add natural sweetness to the oatmeal.

Ingredients: 1/2 c. instant oats 1/2 c. to 3/4 c. fresh blueberries (depends on how much you like blueberries) 1 c. milk of choice (or almond milk, soy milk, etc) Water (depends on how soupy you like it, I use a lot and cook it longer to get a thicker bigger bowl of oatmeal) 1 tbsp chopped pecans 1 tsp brown sugar 1/4 tsp. cinnamon pinch of salt

Mix well in a microwave safe bowl, heat 3-5 minutes on high (depends on the amount of water added) and eat!

bon appetit
