A Nifty Little Peach Crisp

Peaches are coming!! Won't be long now and I've got the perfect peach crisp. It has the spiced peaches and with a little ice cream, it really sizzles.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup granola (I used a vanilla granola)

  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened

  • 3 pounds peaches, sliced about 3/4 inch

  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice

Directions

Preheat oven to 375F.

Stir together sugar, flour, granola, spices and salt in a bowl, then work in the butter with a pastry blender or your finger tips until the mixture makes little clumps.

Spread peaches in a lightly buttered baking dish (about 9x13), toss with the orange juice and top with crumb mixture.

Bake until peaches are tender and the topping is golden colored. About 30-35 minutes. Cool slightly and serve (usually with a nice vanilla bean ice cream).
