So in a few weeks, I have to cook a final meal for my nutrition cooking class (the focus is on more healthy meals that whatever tastes really good), we will be provided with a protein -tofu, tilapia, or chicken (I'm leaning toward chicken), or we can buy our own.
Second is a vegetable, I'm pretty sure the cost is included in my tuition so I won't have to worry about that, and I'm thinking green beans/ haircot vert (or however its spelt)
Where I'm stumped is the whole grains- I don't really like them all that much, so I'm not sure what would taste good/how to make it taste good. I believe we're provided with quinoa, fennel, or brown rice, or we can buy our own.
The other rules are that I only get a single burner to cook on, with an oven, and that I have to make enough for four people and present the plate like a proper dish.
I have five weeks to prepare, but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to cooking so I want a plan now.
Also open to ideas of other foods I can make- I don't mind buying other meat as long as its not too expensive (as in steak or a better fish than tilaia), and getting another whole grain.
bon appetit
