Ingredients

Prime Rib (bone in)

2 sticks of butter

1 package fresh rosemary

pepper to taste

garlic salt to taste

Italian seasoning to taste

Kosher salt (amount depends on size of roast)
Directions

Leave Prime Rib at room temperature 4-6 hours; also leave out butter to soften

Pre-heat oven to 500 degrees F

Mix soft butter sticks with rosemary, pepper, garlic salt and Italian seasoning

Place prime rib in a roasting pan and spread the butter herb mix over the top

Sprinkle kosher salt liberally over prime rib

Calculate time to cook with formula weight of prime rib x 5 + 1 = minutes to cook at 500 deg

After cooking time is done, turn off oven and let the prime rib sit in the oven for 2 hours without opening the oven door
