Ingredients (for 3-4 persons): - 350-400 g (3/4-1 pound) pork fillet, cut into 2-3 cm (1 inch) cubes - 150 g (1 ¼ cup) cornstarch - 2-3 medium bell peppers different colors (red, orange, yellow, green) pilled and cut into 2-3 cm (1 inch) pieces - 1 cm (½ inch) fresh ginger, pilled and finely sliced - 1 medium onion, pilled and medium diced - 3-5 cloves of garlic, pilled and chopped - 150 g (1 cup) canned pineapple chunks, drained off - 1 medium carrot, pilled and finely sliced - 4-6 Tablespoons sunflower oil
For marinade: - 1 yolk - 2 Tablespoons soy sauce - 125 ml (½ cup) cold water
For sweet and sour sauce: - 2-3 Tablespoons tomato paste - 2 Tablespoons rice vinegar - 2 Tablespoons sugar - 2 Tablespoons soy sauce - 2 Tablespoons cold water - ½ Teaspoon cornstarch
Instructions - Make marinade. In a medium bowl whisk yolk, soy sauce and water. Place meat into a marinade and leave for 30 minutes at the room temperature. In half hour coat the pork with cornstarch. - Heat 2-4 tablespoons sunflower oil in a large frying pan on high heat and fry pieces of pork about 3-4 minutes each side, until evenly browned. Drain on paper towels.
