Garlic Bread Rolls Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 350ml water
  • 8g of traditional yeast
  • 1tsp of sugar
  • 1tsp of salt
  • 500g flour
  • 4 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 egg

Tools

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Food plastic wrap
  • Spoon
  • Whisk
  • Baking pan
  • Small cup or ramekin
  • Garlic Press

Directions: #1 Prepare the bread dough

  1. In a big mixing bowl stir together 350ml of warm water, 8g of traditional yeast, 1tsp of sugar, 100g flour.
  2. Mix using a whisk to melt the sugar
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes in a warm room
  4. Gradually add and mix 400g of flour
  5. Add 4 tbsp of olive oil and 1tsp of salt
  6. Knead until the dough become smooth and elastic
  7. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest in a warm place for at least 1 hour.

Directions: #2 Bread Rolls

As the dough is ready, it is time to do some rolls:

  1. Turn the dough out on a lightly floured working surface
  2. Divide it into 4 equal round balls
  3. Stretch the dough into a thick rope and cut in small pieces about 2-3 cm long
  4. Turn the small pieces into little balls and place them on a lightly oiled baking pan
  5. Cover the rolls with plastic wrap and let rest for about 30 minutes Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 395 degrees fahrenheit or 200 degrees celsius.
  6. Take 1 egg and separate the egg yolk
  7. Egg wash the bread rolls before baking.
  8. Bake about 20 minutes in the preheated oven until your bread rolls are golden brown.

Directions: #3 Garlic Dressing

  1. In a small cup press 1 garlic clove
  2. Squeeze a 1/6 lemon for some juice 3.Add a pitch of salt, black pepper and a little bit of olive oil
  3. You can also add (optional) italian parsley for the taste.
  4. Mix together and and spread the mixture across the bread rolls
  5. Cover with a clean towel and let it chill
  6. Enjoy it !
