An Indian Dessert: "Barfi"

Ingredients:

3/4 cup bread crumbs

1 cup any combination of nuts, not salted

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tbsp. butter

Instructions:

Bring water and sugar to a boil on high heat.

Add remaining ingredients and continue to cook until mixture thickens to the consistency of a soft dough (it won't be exactly like dough though).

Remove from heat and spread mixture into an approximately 3/4 inch layer on wax paper.

Allow 10 minutes to cool, then cut into squares. Serve immediately or place in fridge.
