[Discussion] Slow Cooker curry/Indian dishes, with an eye towards food allergies

Hi all. I did a great Tikka masala recipe this evening but canot share it with a friend as it's a minefield of allergens for her and her boys. The recipe is below.

I've found a garam masala and red curry paste that I can vouch the ingredients as safe for so that's done, but I'd love some other slow cooker recipes that work on this kind of flavor. Thanks!

Recipe:

1 28-Oz can of crushed tomato (Allergen!); 1 large onion cut into chunks; + cup cut carrots; 2 tbsp red curry paste; 1tbsp fresh ground ginger; 3 minced cloves of garlic; 1/2 tsp each salt, ground coriander, and paprika; 1/4 tsp each ground cardamom and cumin; 2 lbs chicken.

Cook those on low 6-7 hours (or 3-3.5 hours on high).

Then mix 1/2 cup half and half; 1/3 cup flour; 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt; 1 tsp garam masala (as long as no cinnamon in it allergen free). Pour into the chicken mix and cook on high 30 minutes.

Edit: sorry, source here was Better Homes and Gardens Special Edition: Slow Cooker*

bon appetit
