This is a delicious and easy recipe that works well when there is little time to prepare an elaborate meal during the week. I got this recipe from my grandmother and always enjoyed it as a child, and still do to this day!
Ingredients
- Two rolls Pillsbury Crescent dough sheets
- One pound ground hamburger
- One can Manwich sloppy joe sauce
- One cup (or one whole bag - your choice) shredded cheese (I prefer the four cheese Mexican blend)
- 1/4 cup milk
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Directions
- Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees (F)
- In a frying pan, brown ground beef and drain
- Add sloppy joe sauce to ground beef and allow to simmer in pan until warm
- Roll out one roll of crescent dough in a 9x11 baking pan
- Add sloppy joe mix to pan on top of crescent dough
- Sprinkle cheese evenly on top of sloppy joe mix
- Roll out second sheet of crescent dough on top of sloppy joe and cheese mix
- Brush top layer of dough with milk and optionally sprinkle with sesame seeds
- Bake in oven for 15-17 minutes or until crescent dough is golden brown
bon appetit
