Dad's EZ Raman Vegetable Soup

Dad's EZ Raman Vegetable Soup

Add a few simple ingredients to a Raman soup packet to make a delicious lunch.

Ingredients:

1 package Raman chicken soup noodles, crushed in the package using a flat surface with the heel of your hand.

1 soup flavor packet

1 small yellow onion, chopped

4 raw baby carrots, chopped

Dried soup vegetables

Sesame oil

1 slice Kraft Singles white American cheese.

In a 1qt pan combine 2 cups water, soup flavor packet, onion, carrots, a bit of dried soup vegetables. Bring to a rolling boil.

Set a timer for 6 minutes. Allow the vegetables to boil.

When the timer has 4 minutes remaining, add the noodles and a splash of sesame oil. Stir frequently.

When the timer has only 30 seconds remaining place the cheese slice atop the noodles to allow it to melt.

When the timer has expired stir the soup to combine the melted cheese. Serve.

Makes 1 serving.

Notes: Use store-bought pre-diced frozen onion and carrots/peas to reduce prep time.
Adjust vegetable quantities to taste.
Water in the onion and carrots hydrates the dried soup vegetables and does not affect the noodles. Use the timer app on your mobile device. The noodles will cook longer than recommended on the package.

bon appetit
