Famous German Beef Rouladen Recipe
This German beef Rouladen:
- Have an amazing flavor.

Ingredients
FOR THE ROULADEN
- 4 boneless round steaks(use very thin)
- 4 tablespoon whole grain mustard
- 8 slices bacon4 fill pickles
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ cup onion (cutting)
- Salt and pepper(for use)Paprika
Steps
1: 1st preheat oven to 350 f°
2: season beef slices with salt and pepper. Thinly spread mustard on top of each slice.
3: Divide bacon, pickle, and onion slices on one end of each
4: now rolled up slices, tucking the ends in and securing with skewers, wooden cocktail picks, and thread
5: now heat butter in a skillet, brown Rouladen well on all sides.
Don’t crowd Rouladen in skillet. Do in small batches if necessary. Add extra butter if you want
6: when all Rouladen is well browned, add 1-2 cup of water(hot), gently stirring up browned bit. Now return all roulade and any accumulated juices to skillet, bring to simmer and cover it with any covered.
#Let simmer for 1hr 30 minutes#
7: now remove Rouladen. To the thicken gravy, combine about 1-2 tablespoon corn starch in little(cold) water and stir gently into cooking liquid till slightly thickened.
8: Now season gravy for taste with salt and fresh ground pepper, add sour cream to the gravy
9: Remove skewers, picks
