Hi Reddit. I've been in the habit for years of tossing browning bananas in the freezer and eventually making banana bread or other goodies. However, due to the last couple of months being quite busy and distracting me from baking, my frozen banana stock has piled up, and now I easily have 8-10 bananas (if not more) taking up room in my freezer. Most recipes I know of only need 1-2 bananas, but I want to use up a bunch of these, and not necessarily make four loaves of bread. Any suggestions?

Any classic ways to thicken tomato soup.?
Made some but a little watery, don't want to boil it down as will change color and definitely don't want to use corn starch. Would roux work?
[Question] What cocoa powder do you use?
I want to make my own hot chocolate, to step up from Nestle's or Swiss' hot chocolate that I usually get from Costco.
I will use Alton Brown's recipe.
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, preferably Dutch process
- 2 1/2 cups nonfat dry milk powder
- 1 teaspoon fine-grain salt
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 pinch (or more to taste) ground cayenne pepper*, optional
So far I'm looking at Rodelle Gourmet Baking Cocoa and Ghirardelli Chocolate Unsweetened Cocoa Pouch.
I don't think Hershey's has good cocoa powder and there are many cocoa powder products on Amazon that are organic and 5 stars in reviews with many reviews stating "Product received for review purposes, my opinions are honest and truthful."

I have a friendly-not so friendly lasagna cook off Tuesday. Who can help me out with the badass recipe?
[Question] Beet chip recipe that actually works?
When I browse for baked beet chip recipes, temp and time vary greatly and I've had a hard time calling anything truly successful. What's worked for you, to produce nice crispy chips? I like balsamic vinegar in mine.
