Quick blueberry or strawberry snack ideas?

Love blueberries and strawberries, but hate eating them alone. I’m looking for a quick 3 or 4 ingredients I can throw together to make a good blueberry or strawberry snack. Any ideas? (Example: I slice bananas and put them in a bowl with some almond butter and honey drizzle, mix them around and eat. Delicious)

The best dip for Ruffles.

This is my crack. The process is ugly but the result is godly.

Ingredients

  • 2 bricks of Philadelphia Cream Cheese, warmed.
  • 4 Wyler's Beef Bouillon cubes
  • Yellow Onion

Process

  • Using a handmixer and a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until soft.

  • Grate about 1-2 tblsp. of yellow onion into the bowl (Yes, grate. Think applesauce consistency).

  • Place the beef cubes in a mug with 2 tblsp water, cover with paper towel, and microwave for 20 second intervals, stirring/breaking down in between, until fully liquid. Pour into bowl.

  • Beat the entire mixture again until uniform.

  • Transfer to Tupperware and store in fridge overnight. Serve with Ruffles or Pretzels.

You won't regret it!

Recipe Request: Dried and sweetend apple pieces

This weekend I tasted these delicious pieces of Apple. It tasted like Turkish Delight, but they were actually real pieces of apple, with a gummy bear structure. It seemed like the pieces had become transparant in the process as well. I would love to make these myself!

Indian meat shop BBQ recipes - Please help!!

Hey everyone. Just wondering if someone can help me with this. I live in Vancouver BC and we have a lot of indian pre-marinaded meat shops here. I was looking for the recipes and was wondering if any of you have successfuly recreated one of them. Black trumpet, lobster and chanterelle mushrooms recipes?

I recently bought black trumpet, lobster and chanterelle mushrooms. Does anyone have recipe ideas/suggestions?

I've never eaten any of these mushrooms before, so I'm not sure if they could all go together or if I should make separate dishes. Since I've never had them I kind of what them to stand out, and to be able to taste the difference between the three varieties. I'm leaning towards using them all together and pairing them with seared scallops or monk fish. Also keeping the mushroom prep really simple and just sauteing just butter, lemon, salt, pepper. I have fresh bay leaves, tarragon and thyme that I could all or none of as well. Then maybe having a thick white wine/creme leek sauce.

Suggestions on the herb pairing/combo?

Other recipe ideas?

Hello everyone! I love international foods. I’m from Canada and can pull off most English dishes pretty well. I want to expand my cooking at home into other cultures though - so that I don’t have to go out to restaurants to get it! Does anyone have an recipe blog or cookbook recommendations for other cultures? Looking for traditional and authentic recipes. Ideally if the ingredients are listed by names I would recognize would be helpful. So far I have found a cookbook called ‘How to cook Indian’ by Sanjeev Kapoor which is quite good so far! Thanks!

Looking to try out different types of seasoned rice

Growing up we always ate rice. Either jasmine rice or Spanish rice if we were getting fancy. But now in my house we were rarely eating rice because it has always been just a filler as I never learnd to make Spanish rice. However I just tried to spice things up with some lentils, sofrito, sazon, onion, garlic, salt and pepper and it was amazing. Close to what my stepmom used to make.....close.

I want to try out different rice recipes cause the added depth of the meal really made a huge difference. So what are your favorite seasoned rice recipes?

How do you make this white rice?

World of Beer Korean BBQ Wing Sauce

If you happen to have to have been to World of Beer and love their Korean BBQ Wings like me I’ve got the recipe for the sauce. It’s super good. Here ya go:

2/3 c Gochujang Paste 2 T Cayenne 1/4 c Sugar 2 T Sesame oil 2 T Water 2 T Rice wine vinegar 2 T Soy sauce 1 T Minced garlic

Looking for a Thai recipe suggestions

I have recently been requested by family members to cook a Thai dish. The only thing is my family tends to be picky about their tastes. I am currently looking for a recipe which will satisfy both meat/fish and vegetable lovers alike. I am also trying to avoid having a spicy dish, unless it can be cooked very mildly and heat can be added later. Need some recipe advice for chicken marinade I’m using for tacos

I’m experimenting with a sauce that I put cut up raw chicken in and then cook the chicken for tacos. I blend up a can of adobo sauce with chipote chili’s in it and throw in some cumin brown sugar salt pepper and lime juice and then cook the chicken, it’s pretty good but I’m wondering if anyone has some ideas to elevate it.

Ive made pesto with pine nuts but I prefer it with walnuts. I like the pesto flavor better with walnuts. Give it a try.

A comfort food that my grandma used to make consisted of couple handfuls of basil, olive oil, cream cheese, 1/2 to 3/4 of a whole head of garlic and warm water. Blend all together in the blender. Pour over spiral pasta with steamed green beans. Top with grated Parmesan cheese. The fresh garlic gives it a real zing!

[REQUEST] Recipes for a carnivore/ very picky eater.

I’m a 19 y/o very picky eater and I very much hate it. I live in a city in the U.S near Cleveland that doesn’t have many big name food places, I can’t even get food delivery besides pizza (not even Uber Eats) I dislike almost all vegetables, cheese on any meat, ranch, salads, basic things that almost everyone loves. Here’s a list of things I mainly eat chicken,beef/hamburgers, steak, rice, mashed potatoes, corn, fries, eggs,. I know there isn’t much to work with but I’m getting tired of eating the same things. I’m a huge fan of BBQ things as Im bbq sauce, chips, seeds, etc. I was just wondering if there was anyone like me and maybe had some recipes for some bomb tasting meats. A Spanish friends mother that I know would make great tasting chicken and pork with rice, I think it was with Goya seasoning or something. I also like Chinese food and haven’t tried much variety but I know I like general Tso’s chicken, Chinese fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken. I think my favorite food would be a hamburger with bacon, I’ve tried fried onion rings, pork, fried mozzarella patty and steak on burgers. Any recommendations or a point in the right place would be appreciated :)

Is it possible to add light-colored food coloring to dark chocolate fudge and have the color turn out right?

I want to make this watermelon fudge recipe but want to use the box of fudge mix I bought from the store instead of making it from scratch like the recipe says. To get the watermelon colors I was going to use the pink and green food coloring of course and also buy some watermelon extract to get the watermelon taste as the recipe states. Would my way work or would the pink food coloring dye mixed with the brown fudge make a tan color and green food coloring dye mixed into the dark brown fudge make like a diarrhea greenish brown color?
