Growing up, I remember driving from south Tulsa to Broken Arrow to the “China Garden”. We would always order 2 servings of the Cleopatra Chicken.
It was chicken tenders that were not battered, yet crispy and tender, served on a platter with a sweet, spicy, garlic & ginger sauce with sesame seeds to garnish.
China Garden closed. We would go to the Hunan Chinese Restaurant in midtown which served the dish as well.
Today Asian Fusion in Tulsa serves the dish, but it is not exactly the same.
I have scoured the internet for years trying to piece a recipe together that recreates that magical dish.
Does anyone know anything about it???
