I am NEVER grating butter for biscuits again!!

I have been trying to make decent biscuits for quite some time. Not drop biscuits but fluffy, light, biscuits. My last attempt involved grating frozen butter and mixing that by hand, a lengthy chore with mediocre results. I was never satisfied with the outcome no matter what technique or recipe I tried.

My husband, also a fan of good biscuits, did some reading on biscuits and found that the flour can make all the difference. He ordered ten pounds of White Lily Self-rising flour from Amazon for me and today I made biscuits and I was astonished by the result. I used the recipe on the package, Two cups flour, one quarter cup of shortening and three-quarters of a cup of buttermilk. Quick, easy and no effort and the lightest, fluffiest biscuitsI have ever eaten! I am never grating frozen butter again!

bon appetit
