Hi all,
I'm seeing this girl who is from Burgos, Spain. We're both in college and we have a lot in common. We have been hanging out a bit the last few weeks and she recently found out I enjoy cooking. We both share a similar diet (No meat, no dairy) which is really cool too. Anyways, she's coming over for dinner tomorrow night where I'll make my famous lemonade and have a nice meal fixed for her. My question is what are some good seafood recipes from Burgos, if any? I've never been to Spain so I don't know. I've taken 6 years of the language and enjoy Spanish guitar music a lot (I am trained in classical guitar, I'm also showing some of this to her tomorrow per her request), but I've never cooked a Spanish dish before.
My backup is just getting a Salmon filet and then fixing it all nice and having some nice vegetables to serve, or maybe a nice lentil soup (she's allergic to coconuts, kiwis, and pineapples, keeping this in mind), but I'd really love to fix her something that reminds her of home. Does anybody have any ideas? I'd love to make her feel at home with something I prepared. She's really cool and it would mean a lot to me if I got to do something like this for her.
