Hi guys! Sorry if this isn’t allowed, I’ve looked through the rules but please remove if I’ve violated anything!
I’m from the UK, and my FAVOURITE curry to get from the takeaway is called the “Royal Masala” but the description of it on the menu is so vague that I have absolutely no idea what’s in it. The description on the menu mentions almonds and mangoes, but that’s it. I really really want to recreate it, so I’m wondering if it’s maybe a well known curry of a different name? When I google “royal masala”, nothing even resembling my takeaway curry comes up.
It’s BRIGHT red in colour, not spicy at all, has chunks of mango in it. Even though it says almonds on the description, it doesn’t taste of almonds at all. I’m imagining it probably has cream in? But I honestly can’t taste any garlic/onion/anything in it. The fact that it’s bright red makes me think there must be red chillis in but, as I say, it isn’t spicy in the slightest.
I really hope someone can help me because god damn it’s so tasty 😭 but I’m far too skint to be ordering a takeaway every week to try it. Thanks so much in advance and I’m sorry again for being really vague! I’ll do my best to answer any questions
