A while back I was in a grocery store perusing the magazines and saw something like "Healthy Cheap Meals In Minues", scanned through it looked good and got it. It had a lot of recipes and the stuff I made was good so I looked more into it and realized it was an offshoot from diabetic living magazine, yeah I inadvertently bought a diabetic cook magazine.
I've moved twice since then and lost the mag but I've gone to their website which has a bunch of recipes, focused on the 7 ingrediants or less sections. Probably sounds like I work for them but every recipe is delicious and healthy. Lower carbs, pretty much no sugar.
My favorite is chicken breast with salt/pepper, brown mustard and bread crumbs. Covered with green beans cooked in olive oil and then you add capers and lemon juice/wedges. This is not actually very expensive, is freaking delicious, pretty easy and fast.
I've wound up making a bunch of recipes meant or diabetics. Which I'm not but from what I've read is pretty much healthy and just insures you wont get diabetes. Have you guys/gals been surprised by anything like this you've found?
