These oats are a great breakfast to make at night and grab and go in the morning. Hope you all enjoy!
For the oats
- ¼ cup rolled oats
- ¼ cup walnuts
- 1 Tablespoon chia seed
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup – ½ cup of milk of choice (depending on how liquidy you like your oats)
- 1 tsp pure maple syrup
- Pinch of cinnamon
Optional Toppings
- Extra whole walnuts
- Maple syrup drizzle
- Fresh blueberries or banana slices
Instructions
- Blend walnuts in food processor until it looks almost like small grains of sand (before it turns into a powder)
- Place walnuts,oats, and chia seeds into a seal-able container (I prefer using mason jars). Stir in milk, Greek yogurt, and maple syrup. Add a dash of cinnamon and stir until ingredients are well combined.
- Place container in the fridge overnight. In the morning, grab your oats for a great on-the-go breakfast, or if you have time sit down and enjoy! Also feel free to add walnuts, maple syrup, and/or fruit (such as blueberries or banana slices).
Notes
Nutrition facts (based on 1/2 cup unsweetened soy milk): 400 calories, 25 g fat, 35 g carbohydrate, 8 g fiber, 8 g sugar, 17 g protein.
