[Request] I'm from the UK and in desperate need of a recipe for mini donuts you get at the seaside

Hello! I'm currently on a donut adventure. I've made yeast donuts with sugared glazed and they were just like Krispy Kremes, but I want a taste of nostalgia for the quick mini fairground/seaside donuts that are covered in castor sugar. Correct me if I'm wrong but are these what you would call 'cake donuts'?
