[Request] I'm no milquetoast, but I'd love to eat some milk toast!

Is it milk toast or milktoast? I hear that it's mostly an easily digestible dish for... Well, milquetoasts. I'm wondering if anyone happens to still eat this, and if there are some more adventurous recipes out there?

From what I understand it's just milk poured on toast, but is there some secret mystery it's keeping from me? I saw that it has a white sauce on it in new England, that seems a little more tasty than milk on toast. I've read of putting raisins and spices and all sorts of things, but I'm not even sure what would taste good with milktoast!

Any recipes, suggestions or whatever is welcome. Sorry if I'm breaking any rules, I didn't see many for this sub.

bon appetit
