Soft and chewy cookies with less sugar

I'm trying to find a recipe for soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies, but they all seem to have a ratio of 2 - 1 flour to sugar. The ones with less sugar all tend to have too many ingredients. Does anyone have a recipe for soft and chewy cookies with half the sugar without ruining the texture, or can I just halve the amount of sugar.
