Below is a simple recipe I use for protein bars that I eat before my swim/run/lift.
Peanut butter bars:
1 cup peanut butter (smooth) 1 cup honey 1-1/2 cup old fashioned oatmeal 1-1/2 cup granola 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder
Steps: Heat PB and honey for 45 seconds in microwave, then stir in all other ingredients. Once mixed, place in pan in the fridge.
The one cup of honey is too much sugar for me to want in my diet all the time, but it is a staple in holding the bar together. So what can I add, if I only do 1/2 cup of honey, to keep the bars solid?
