Sweet & Spicy Pepper Chicken (Chinese Style)

For any help here is a video!

I tried my own take at a dish I ate at a Chinese Restaurant near my house! Here it is!

PART 1: Marinating the chicken

1) Cut 1.5 lbs of Chicken Breast into small cubes

2) Add 1 tbsp of ginger paste, garlic paste and chilli powder for spice(chilli powder is optional)

3) Add 1/2 cup of flour, 1 egg, 4 tbsp of cornstarch and a little salt.

4) Mix it together and leave it on the counter for 15-20 minutes.

PART 2 Making the Sauce:

1) In a small bowl, add 2 tbsp of ketchup

2) Add 1 tbsp of any sweet sauce you like(I chose Sweet and Sour Thai Sauce)

3) Add in 1 tsp of Cumin Powder

4) Add in a tbsp of ginger paste.

5) Add 2 tbsp of Brown Sugar and half a cup of water.

PART 2.5 Preparing the Veggies:

1) Cut half of any pepper(s) of your choice into thin columns.

2) Cut 3 green onions.

3) Cut 1 onion

PART 3 Frying the chicken:

1) In 1 cm of oil drop each of your chicken in.

2) fry until all of your chicken are golden brown.

3) Set aside.

4) In the leftover oil, drop 2 red chillis(optional), your onions and peppers.

5) Stir for 5 minutes.

6) Add in the sauce. Stir well

7) Once it starts bubbling add in your chicken.

8) Mix well for 5-7 minutes.

9) Move chicken to another plate or dish.

10) ENJOY!
