I tried my own take at a dish I ate at a Chinese Restaurant near my house! Here it is!
PART 1: Marinating the chicken
1) Cut 1.5 lbs of Chicken Breast into small cubes
2) Add 1 tbsp of ginger paste, garlic paste and chilli powder for spice(chilli powder is optional)
3) Add 1/2 cup of flour, 1 egg, 4 tbsp of cornstarch and a little salt.
4) Mix it together and leave it on the counter for 15-20 minutes.
PART 2 Making the Sauce:
1) In a small bowl, add 2 tbsp of ketchup
2) Add 1 tbsp of any sweet sauce you like(I chose Sweet and Sour Thai Sauce)
3) Add in 1 tsp of Cumin Powder
4) Add in a tbsp of ginger paste.
5) Add 2 tbsp of Brown Sugar and half a cup of water.
PART 2.5 Preparing the Veggies:
1) Cut half of any pepper(s) of your choice into thin columns.
2) Cut 3 green onions.
3) Cut 1 onion
PART 3 Frying the chicken:
1) In 1 cm of oil drop each of your chicken in.
2) fry until all of your chicken are golden brown.
3) Set aside.
4) In the leftover oil, drop 2 red chillis(optional), your onions and peppers.
5) Stir for 5 minutes.
6) Add in the sauce. Stir well
7) Once it starts bubbling add in your chicken.
8) Mix well for 5-7 minutes.
9) Move chicken to another plate or dish.
10) ENJOY!
