Ingredients: -2 large yellow onions -2 lbs ground beef -2 cans of diced tomatoes (28 oz) -1 package of thick cut bacon (chopped) -5 cloves of minced garlic -2 red peppers (diced) -chipotle peppers in adobo (diced) -3 tbsp chili powder -1 tbsp smoked paprika -1 tbsp cumin -2 tsp cayenne pepper -shredded cheese to taste
Instructions: -in a large pot fry off bacon..add onions and red peppers -in a separate pot or skillet brown ground beef and some garlic (strain after browning) -Add meat into the large pot with onions, bacon and peppers -Add chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper and more garlic -Add diced tomatoes - Let simmer for about an hour and stir occasionally taste and add more seasoning if necessary - serve in a bowl and add shredded cheese on top
This is my fathers recipe (he's a chef) and it's the best chili I've ever had. Vegetarians can skip the bacon and ground beef and it's still reallllly good 👍🏻
