Mystery deli salad
When I was a kid in the 80s there was a shell deli salad my mom used to buy from Canada Safeway. It had small shells, a tangy red sauce (tomato?) and to my kid taste was totally yum.
I'm now in another hemisphere. Do they still make it? Does anyone have the recipe so I can make it?

There are many Mexican markets that have prepared marinated chicken, pork, and flap steak. The marinade is a deep red sauce and the same sauce is used on all three meats. Does anybody have a good recipe for a similar type of sauce/marinade?

[Request] Shrimp party foods that can be prepared ahead
I farm shrimp so I have a lot and I’m pretty much expected to bring shrimp to events. I’m a bit tired of doing cocktail shrimp so I’m looking for some other ideas that can be made ahead and don’t need to be cooked at a party. If it can be served cold then that’s even better because I’ll probably use it a lot for tailgating and we don’t usually cook at our spots.

In Search Of: Brazilian Dinner Recipes (without Ham or Fish)
I would like to try some new recipes. I've been searching around for Brazilian dinner food recipes but I am starting to sense many of them use ham or fish. I'm just not much of ham person and I really don't like fish. Am I barking up the wrong tree here?

Software to manage recipes for free
Hello I would like to know some great softwares that can fill my requirements to manage my recipes : free, offline (i can make screenshots if its not possible), sync (shopping list), from scratch and can make standardized formatting/layout
i have OneNote by the way, haven't used it this much but it looks like a good alternative to Evernote. Not looking for some internet recipe auto grabbers even though the function can be usefull depending from which site it grab them so i would like to know if i should stick to OneNote or try something else like Google Keep, but really offline + sync (unless its like pdf or something that i can easily read on any device, but not proprietary thing)
thanks !

Vanilla & Raspberry Yo-Yo’s
Yo-Yo’s are a classic Australian biscuit. These are close to my all-time favourite biscuit. The buttery biscuit has a wonderful shortbread like texture. Made with custard powder, which distinguishes them from melting moments, provides the perfect biscuit base to sandwich a raspberry buttercream filling. Baked to a golden brown finish, each mouthful is an amazing crunchy, yet melt in your mouth delight. These biscuits should be stored in the refrigerator. You are best to chill them, when initially made, to allow the buttercream to firm. I like the biscuit base to be firm and crunchy so I bake them for the full 15 minutes rather than undercook them.
Ingredients:
• 200 g Butter softened
• 1/2 cup Caster Sugar
• 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
• 1 1/2 cups Plain Flour sifted
• 1/2 cup Custard Powder sifted
Raspberry Buttercream
• 150 g Butter softened
• 2 cups Icing Sugar sifted
• 1/4 cup Raspberries use frozen raspberries
Instructions:
1. Pre-heat a fan forced oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Line a baking tray with baking paper
3. Add butter and sugar to a mixing bowl and using an paddle mixer, beat until pale and fluffy.
4. Add vanilla extract and mix through
5. Add plain flour and custard powder and continue mixing until a soft dough forms.
6. Roll dough into 24 balls and place on the baking tray. Each ball will be around 2/3 size of a golf ball. Space the balls apart leaving room to expand. Using a fork gently flatten each ball. Note: The dough will expand as it bakes.
7. Place in oven and bake for about 15 minutes until golden. Remove from oven and set aside to cool completely.
Raspberry Buttercream
1. Add butter and icing sugar to a bowl and beat until pale and fluffy.
2. Add raspberries and continue mixing until fully combined.
3. Spread buttercream and sandwich between a pair of biscuits creating 12 yo-yo biscuits in total. Store in refrigerator.

Best EASY Peanut butter Cookie Ever
My favorite recipe.... I get asked for it all the time and figured I'd share it here as well.
3 cups peanut butter 1/3 cup powdered sugar 1/3 cup basic white sugar 1/3 cup brown sugar 3 eggs *Hersey Kisses optional
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine sugar, peanut butter, and eggs. Mix. Grease a baking pan. Roll peanut butter dough to about 1 inch balls. Bake for 6 - 10 mins. Cookies will still seem doughy in the middle but edges should be crisp. Pull out and place a Hersey Kiss on top of each cookie. Or take fork and make cris cross pattern on the tops. Let sit for several mins before moving.
And you're done!
I always eyeball this recipe and never make my cookies the same size, so time may vary... super simple... you can substitute multiple sugars for 1 cup of any of the above... I recommend brown sugar if going that direction. But both brown and white sugar with make it slightly gritty. The powdered sugar does wonders for the texture! Enjoy!!

Looking for a baked chicken recipe
Hello, I'm looking for a baked chicken recipe that I can pre-cook for my father usually I would just cook him lunch but due to work schedules being changed that is no longer an option, I'm looking for either a marinated baked chicken recipe or a sauce he could use afterwords and add to some chicken from the fridge.
The intention is for my dad cook some rice and add the pre-cooked chicken to it as a meal before work, spicy would be preferred .
Many Thanks
