St. Patrick's Day Corned Beef and Cabbage recipe made in the slow cooker (crock pot)

This Corned Beef and Cabbage recipe is made in the slow cooker (crock pot) and uses gluten-free beer to flavor the broth. If you are not gluten-free you can use a regular dark beer instead. It cooks for 9 hours on low heat so you have to put the beef in the crock pot in the morning if you want to eat it for dinner on St. Patrick's Day. Cooking it in the slow cooker makes the corned beef extremely tender and delicious.
