Trying to find a recipe, delete if wrong place

I went to a cafe that had a beef rice bowl called Yaki Don. The beef was marinated with onions in some kind of spicy sweet sauce. It came with bean sprouts and a bowl of rice.

I wish to recreate this dish but I'm having difficulty with the sauce.
