Using dry lavender in place of lavender oil?

I plan to make a belated pie-day pie. Blackberry, Lemon & Lavender. Never used lavender before, so hesitant to invent my own substitutions for an equivalency without that baseline flavor knowledge. Recipe calls for 2 drops lavender oil.

I understand lavender can be quite overpowering and should in this case be a background flavour highlight to the lemon.
