I'm on the hunt for recipes and techniques for restaurant style BBQ- meat of whatever kind. I tend to prefer chicken in general, but I am open for trying whichever!
I keep passing this restaurant's kitchen door (which they keep propped open- I assume to keep airflow in an otherwise hot kitchen. Whenever I pass through, the delicious scent of BBQ pork ribs takes me for a ride. It's both really enjoyable, and disappointing because I've never been able to achieve a proper restaurant-style BBQ anything.
So I'm pulling Tips! Recipes! Suggestions. Sauces. The whole thing. I want to make amazing ribs, and be the envy of everyone withing smelling-distance. I'm opening a discussion because I can google recipes all day, but it won't give me insight to how to make it amazing- like a discussion will.
My kitchen only has a standard set-up: typical stove with 4 burners and oven; microwave; fridge with a smaller freezer compartment on top.
My experience level: I am an adventurous cook, and worked in a few kitchens in my time. As long as I have clear instructions, I can make just about anything. But I am not skilled enough to know the chemistry of cooking.
