Ingredients:
- Two (2) cups cake flour
- Two (2) Tbsp. baking powder
- One (1) cup white sugar
- One (1) cup water
- One-half (1/2) cup evaporated milk
- 125 gram cheese bar cut into small strips
- dash of salt
- assorted food coloring (optional)
How to prepare:
- Sift cake flour and mix it with the baking powder, sugar and salt.
- Pour in slowly the water and milk in the flour mixture and mix it together thoroughly to avoid lumps.
- Divide the mixture according to your desired colors.
- Mix the food coloring in each mixture to come up with color variation of your puto cheese
- While mixing your ingredients, boil enough water in the steamer.
- While boiling the water, pour mixture into the greased puto cheese molders.
- Top each filled molder with sliced cheese strips
- Steam the puto cheese for about ten to twelve minutes or until done.
