Ingredients: 1pk of lentils 1 large onion (or 2 small) diced 1 - 2 sticks of Celery 500gm Diced Tomato 1 tablespoon of tomato paste 4 Large mugs of water Half a garlic, crush it or dice just get it fine “more garlic is better” 3 BAY LEAF
Method: 1. Soak 1pk of lentils in water with 1/2tspoon of bicarb soda – leave until everything else is ready 2. Fry diced onion in saucepan with olive oil 3. Cut some celery, fry with onion 4. Put diced tomato into saucepan 5. Once all browned, put 4 cups of water into saucepan, and add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste 6. Add salt, pepper any seasoning you want 7. Add garlic, and THE BAY LEAF 8. Let everything simmer, and everything get soft 9. Once saucepan ready, strain and rinse lentils, and put into saucepan 10. Put in ¼ cup vinegar, 11. Simmer until most water is absorbed, while still remaining fairly wet
Her English isn't very good so some stuff may be a bit vague, but it doesn't need to be completely precise.
