I am looking for a peanut butter fudge recipe like my mother used to make. I have Googled to my heart's content but cannot seem to find a recipe like it. She passed away just over a year ago and my brother who was living with her blocked us from entering her house. When we finally got access we found he had thrown away all her favorite recipes she had collected over the years. Luckily I hada copy most of them but cannot find one like this that seems similar. It came from somewhere... can anyone help?
This is what I remember about it: - She used condensed evaporated milk - it did not have confectioners sugar in it - I did not have marshmallow cream - I believe she used light Karo syrup - It had probably around 2 cups of sugar - I remember having to cook it to a softball stage, then she would then drop a dot in the water to test.
Thank you in advance. My daughter's birthday is on Christmas day and we are attmepting to re-create all my mother's recipes for her as a gift to pass down through our generations.
bon appetit
