Chocolate Kahlua Cheesecake recipe

Ingredients

  1. Crust
  2. 18 Oreos finely crumbed
  3. 2 TBSP melted butter
  4. Filling
  5. 4 8oz Cream Cheese
  6. 12oz Melted Dark Chocolate
  7. 1 C Sugar
  8. 4TBSP Kahlua
  9. Topping
  10. 2 C Heavy Whipping cream
  11. 2 TBSP Sugar
  12. 2 to 4 TBSP Kahlua

Instructions

  1. Take 18 Oreos and blend them into fine crumbs.
  2. To the Oreo crumbs add melted butter and stir until it resembles wet sand.
  3. Place the crumbs into a greased 9” spring for pan.
  4. Cover the entire bottom of the pan and press firmly.
  5. Bake the crust at 350° for 10 minutes.
  6. Let the pan cool completely before filling.
  7. Take your cream cheese (let it sit out in room temp approx. 30 min) Cream together in the mixer. Next, melt 12oz of dark chocolate chips.
  8. To the cream cheese add the melted chocolate, sugar, and Kahlua. Mix thoroughly.
  9. Place the filling in the spring form pan on top of the crust.
  10. Smooth out so the filling is even and flat. Chill in the refrigerator for 4 to 24 hours
  11. Once the Cheesecake has had time to set up, remove from the spring form pan and then add the whipped topping.
  12. Whip on med/med high until stiff peaks form.
  13. You can easily just spread on top of the cheesecake for a more rustic look or pipe it on top for a fancier up do
