ANy ideas on use for soy flakes?

I was recently given a big bag of brown soy flakes. First of all is there a name for that? Also what are they used for? I imagine they're often processed into protein bars or something of the sort. My plan was just to throw some into a stew for protein and thickness. Any other ideas? Google hasnt helped me much
