I just got a wealth of pomegranates from a friend's garden and I'm eager to use them. I'm planning on using the majority of them for some pomegranate mint tea (if anybody's interested in the recipe let me know, I can write down the recipe this next time I make it and post it here) but I wanted to use some of them to make grenadine for Shirley Temples and all the recipes I'm finding online use pomegranate juice. I do have a juicer and can juice these pomegranates if need be before using them, but I thought a kind of chunky grenadine syrup would be good since I love eating the crushed pomegranate seeds when I make pomegranate mint tea. Anybody have a grenadine syrup recipe that can utilize the entire pomegranate seeds as opposed to just the juice?
