- Ingredients **The Cake*
- 1 Box of white cake mix
- 1 Egg
- 5 TBSP melted butter
- The Filling
- 2/3 C Corn Syrup
- 1/2 C Brown Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 1 C Chopped Walnuts
- 1 C Flaked Coconut
- The Topping
- 1/2 C Melted White Chocolate
- 1/2 C Toasted Coconut
- Instructions
- Add the melted butter and egg to the white cake mix combine thouroughly
- Place the batter to a 9X13 greased cake pan. Be sure to grease the sides of the pan very well. Spread the batter into the pan with your fingers; it is much easier with your hands.
- Bake at 350° for about 15 minutes.
- Use an electric mixer or stir by hand the ingredients for the filling.
- Take the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, chopped walnuts, and flaked coconut and mix until everything is combined. When the crust is finished baking take it out of the oven and place the filling right on top. Bake for another 20 to 25 minutes.
- While the bars are baking, toast coconut on the stove top until golden brown
- Once the cake bars have finished baking melt the white chocolate and drizzle on top. Before the white chocolate cools, sprinkle the toasted coconut all over the top.
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
