I want to bake a birthday cake for my mother's birthday and I've been trying for the longest time to bake a nice chocolate cake that's both moist AND fluffy. I can get either or down, but I can never get it down in one cake. It's either fluffy and dry or moist and dense. Is there a way to get both into one cake?
By fluffy I mean a cake with larger air pockets that make it flaky and fluffy.
Also, no box mixes please
