So there is a link to my Dad's Mom's bread recipe. He died in 2008 and unfortunately his recipe was not complete. He shortcutted because he knew the basics off the top of his head.
Can any of you help me determine the missing pieces? Temperature? Kneading time? Cooking time? Do I really do steps 1 through 6 in that order? because I think my siblings recall putting the water, oil and sugar together all at once.
Here's the image converted to text:
Makes 4 loaves (2) trays cinnamon rolls
(1) 4 cups hot water
(2) 4 yeast packs
(3) 6 cups flour
(4) 1/2 cup sugar
(5) 6 t salt (probably teaspoon)
(6) (1/2) cup oil
- Mix
- Wait 10 minutes
-
Add 10 cups flour
-
Rise 2 Hrs
-
Push Down
-
Rise 1 1/2 Hrs
bon appetit
