Spiced ginger lemongrass iced tea (Quarantine experiments!!)

Ingredients

  • 2 leaves of lemongrass cut into 2-inch pieces
  • lemon juice from one lemon
  • ginger, crushed
  • 2 cloves
  • Cardamom
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • sugar
  • Vanilla essence
  • Teabags of choice
  • Water
  • Apple juice

Direction

  1. According to the amount you would like to make and to your taste, put all these ingredients EXCEPT the apple juice into a saucepan together.
  2. Bring to a boil then let simmer for 10 minutes
  3. Add your tea and let it steep for another 5 minutes till its concentrated but not bitter.
  4. Let it cool, chill and serve with ice cubes and a little apple juice, extra lemon juice is optional for a tangier flavour.
  5. ENJOY! (I hope)

Note: I have not specified exact measurements as it is extremely subjective and you can make the quantity and strength of flavour as per your choice.
