Steamed Prawns in Mustard Gravy. No Frying Required

Prawns in Mustard Curry (We call it Shorshe Chingri Bhapa)

This is an authentic Bengali/Indian recipe enjoyed with steam rice. The gravy is made of mustard, grated coconut & Poppy feeds giving it a unique flavour. The prawns in this preparation come out as very soft and juicy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg Prawns
  • 1.5 tbsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp Poppy Seeds
  • 5 tbsp Freshly scraped coconut
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp Mustard oil
  • 8 pcs Fresh green chillies (Adjust as per your taste)
  • Salt
  • Sugar
