Tea with cardamom and honey?

Before moving, I would often visit a Mediterranean restaurant in Johnson City, TN run by I believe a Syrian family and they served the best hot tea I've ever had. I'm not really sure what all was in it and I was wondering if it has a name and a recipe. It was black tea, possibly a little overbrewed but that worked for it, lots of honey, and cardamom pods floating in it. There was no mint, which seems to be common in many Middle Eastern teas.

I think it might be this, but I don't recall tasting a particularly strong rose or cinnamon flavor.

Any ideas?

bon appetit
