Help! Mac and cheese that will stay moist?

So my husband volunteered to bring some Mac and cheese to a work thing on Monday, so I need to make something that can go in the crock pot for him to take. I have a recipe that I’ve used and it does taste good, but if you don’t eat it right away it starts to dry out and I always want it to be “creamier.”

Do any of yall have a recipe for homemade Mac that will stay creamy for hours in a crock? I like to use sharp cheddar, Parmesan and add bacon.

My grandma suggested using some cream cheese in the sauce but I’ve never done this before?
