Should I freeze chicken legs and thighs with dry rub applied on them?

I often cook oven-roasted chicken legs and thighs seasoned with comercial or homemade dry rubs. Usually I buy about 20 pairs of chicken legs and thighs every month, freeze it all and every day or so I put one pair in the refrigerator so it will slowly defrost, them when it's time to cook I apply the rub and put it in the oven.

I wonder what will happen if I were to apply the rub before freezing it. Will it improve the flavor? Will it ruin the meat? Should I do it?
