Pumpkin Creme brûlée with milk

I have a small pumpkin and want to make a pumpkin Creme brûlée where it’s baked inside of the pumpkin instead of little ramicans. The recipe calls for heavy cream as the base. Would milk work instead? I just have milk on hand which is why I’m wondering. If not I’ll just make it tomorrow. Thank you!
