I love spekkoek and it’s become a tradition that whenever I visit my friend in Amsterdam we compare a few versions. I’ve recently discovered baking and would love to try to make a spekkoek to take when I next visit in a couple of weeks.
I’ve been looking online for a recipe and whilst it seems that there’s a lot of consistency with the method and flavours, there’s a huge disparity with the quantities/ratios used in each recipe. I’m thinking of trying the recipe below but wondered if anyone has any experience of making this and can recommend a good recipe or any tips, especially in getting the layers right
