My Traeger Meat Madness Contest Entry - Asian Style Chicken Wings

I would appreciate your Vote I have made it through to the 3rd round. But would appreciate any votes you're willing to give. I am the Asian Style Chicken Wings in the first bracket in the East for the Hostmasters devision! If anyone else is in let us know.

Asian Style Chicken Wings Serves: 2

RECIPE INGREDIENTS

BBQ Sauce

  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 2 Pressed Garlic Cloves
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp Lime Juice
  • 1 tsp Lime Zest
  • 8.5 oz Hoisin sauce
  • 2 tsp Soy Sauce
  • Chicken Wings

  • 1 lbs Chicken Wings

  • 3 dash Traeger Chicken Rub

RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

One day prior to your planed meal, pat dry the chicken wings. Place wings evenly spaced on the wire rack and place in the fridge. Dry skin will ensure a crispy skin when cooked.

Lightly dust the wings with Traeger Chicken Rub

  • In sauce pan on stove top melt butter
  • Add pressed garlic and garlic powder heat until fragrant
  • Add remaining ingredients and heat until fully incorporated Set sauce aside (This can be done the previous day) Start Traeger on smoke with lid open for 5 minutes adjust to high heat and heat with lid closed for 10 minutes place dry and seasoned wings directly onto grill and close lid adjust temperature to smoke, smoke wings for 15-20 minutes adjust temperature to 350
  • Allow wings to cook undisturbed for 10 minutes
  • Flip wings and cook for 10 additional minutes
  • Remove wings from grill and evenly coat with Asian Sauce you made by tossing in a large bowl. You will not need all the sauce. *Save the remaining sauce for dipping.
  • Return to grill and continue to cook until temperature reaches 165 degrees (Approximately 20 minutes)

Mix remaining sauce with ranch dressing to serve as a dip
