Johnnie's is a legendary Italian beef joint in Elmwood Park, IL that consistently wins local competitions and mentioned in the national press for tourists. Since we moved to Seattle, we've missed Johnnie's and sought to replicate the recipe and process as closely as we can. After three years, this recipe is the result.
We recommend using a meat slicer for that consistent texture of thinly sliced beef.
