I love making quinoa because it's really healthy and filling (perfect for a pre-night-out-of-drinking dinner). I use this basic recipe to cook rice and polenta as well.
How to Cook
Ingredients
1 cup quinoa
2 cups chicken broth
1 tbsp butter
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp garlic powder
Directions
1. Melt butter over medium heat.
2. Add quinoa and seasonings. Toast for 30 seconds.
3. Add chicken broth and stir.
4. Bring to a simmer.
5. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
6. Fluff with fork and enjoy!
NOTE If your quinoa is not pre-washed (it should say on the bag), wash it before cooking so it doesn't taste bitter.
